This week's fantasy art choices are below, Little Red Riding Hood (taken at Enchanted sim) by Podenga and above, Elf by Aida Ewing. These works of art will be displayed on Enchanted and then moved up to the fantasy gallery after a week is up. It really looks good to see all the pictures together on display in the gallery, and it'll look great when we have alot more pictures to fill it up!

Fantasy Art of the Week 2/13/11

Fairy Line - Purple2 by Villemo Inglewood

This week I'd like to recognize two wonderful artists that happened to use Enchanted as their backdrop, but are seen in both the Enchanted and Finest of Fantasy Art groups in Flickr. Nila Byron (seen below) is a regular patron and also part of the Enchanted family. She is one of the greeters and guardians of the sim, an Enchanted Keeper. She has done many beautiful pictures at the sim, but I wanted to feature one of my favorites depicting herself. In the description she said she was just "playing around" and didn't give the picture a specific title, but I and many others thought her artwork was just lovely! The other featured picture (above) is called, Fairy Line - Purple2 by Villemo Inglewood. Villemo always does gorgeous artwork, I've loved just about everything she's done and was so thrilled when she did a shoot in Enchanted! As always, perfection!

Fantasy Art of the Week 2/6/11

Flora, Faun(a) and Flute by SeleneLily Galicia

The art I chose from the Enchanted pool this week was a work by SeleneLily Galicia, resident faerie of Elven Realm. She's done many beautiful pictures on the sim, and here is one for you to enjoy :)

In the Stillness of the Trees and the Quiet of the Pool by Jane Savira

The above is one of my favorite faun pictures and I thought it was a lovely and perfect setting, being in the forest.

Some "Enchanting" Additions

Enchanted Floating Gallery in the works

I wanted to update everyone on some new additions to the Enchanted sim. Some of you may have already seen them or know about them. I know I told you before I was going to work on a "Floating Gallery" in the sky at Enchanted. I will display people's artwork from Flickr.com there after recognizing them weekly here on the site and on the sim. In otherwords, it will be added to gradually. I found a platform I really like that I think will work well for this project. I already have it placed in the middle of the sim just above the clouds. I will eventually set up a teleporter for it. It's not nearly finished yet, but the groundwork is there.

I have also added three small sky platforms (other than the gallery) in the sky for those who desire even more privacy or just want a romantic or quiet place to get away. A couple of them don't have all the animations they're supposed to have, so I'm checking on that right now. Another notable addition is the Tale of Snow White pose prop by Faery Sola of Studio Sidhe, it's located in the Mushroom Forest. I will be adding a few more things too. I hope you all enjoy!

One of the new little privacy areas above the sim, brrrr!

I just discovered Lara Ubert's work recently and found so many of her pictures simply gorgeous, so had to share my favorite of hers.

Fantasy Art of the Week 1/22/11

Enchanted Forest by Pirate Braveheart

In a recent blog I announced I would be recognizing Second Life artwork by posting pictures here and on the sim. In keeping with this tradition, I'd like to announce our first two fantasy art pictures of the week...Pirate Braveheart's Enchanted Forest from the Enchanted Flickr group and Finest of Fantasy Art of SL Flickr group, and Doni Parlanti's (Tigre Milena) Pied Piper of Bentham from the Finest of Fantasy Art Flickr group. I will display their pictures on the Enchanted sim for this week, and then move them to our new floating gallery on the sim, which I hope to have set up within the next week. More news to come about that project soon :) Please enjoy the wonderful talent of both of these artists.
