Grand Opening Success!

Collage by SeleneLily Galicia
I wanted to do a follow up blog on the Grand Opening we had November 20. What a day! We had a blast and it was a great success. We literally had 15 to 20 people on the sim all day and all evening long. What a wonderful turnout and now I think more know that the sim is here and hope they will return again and again :D I've noticed quite a few have posted pictures they took while visiting, and they're all beautiful. I just love to see everyone's talents and their favorite areas of the sim captured in pictures. I hope if you haven't already, you will enter our photography contest with some of those pictures. The blog before this one explains it all in detail. There's also a poetry contest going on.

Faery Sola of Studio Sidhe launched her brand new Unicorn multi-pose prop (5 poses) at Enchanted and it was very successful. She now has it available at her store, too. The pricing is amazing for all the work that was put into it...only 500L! We had other vendors on the sim that day, Simply Fae, Evie's Closet, Fallen Gods and Elvenbreath all participated. All the vendors were very generous and gave a percentage or all of their sales to our animal rights fund we donate to, Friends of Animals. The total we made from the vendors alone was approximately 20,000L! That is excellent for one day of sales! All of this money will be donated to the fund.

We also had a DJ who played at the sim for 2 rounds, 3 hours each. His name is Jack and he played a variety of music, anything from Enya to Rock. The second round we had quite a few out on the dance "pond" showing their moves. Even Squiffy the unicorn was out there dancing!

I want to thank my good friend, SeleneLily Galicia for her help hosting the Opening and also for helping with getting the word out about the Opening. Also, thank you to Faery Sola for all her hard work on the Unicorn and having it done in time for the Opening. She's become someone I consider not just a "business partner", but a nice and good friend in the process :) Most of all, thank you for everyone's support of the sim! I'm so glad you are enjoying it! I've heard so many different descriptions, "peaceful", "beautiful", "amazing", "so much put into it", "reminds me of my childhood", "like a fairy tale", and the list goes on. Thank you all and please visit any time!

Introducing Elven Realm's Enchanted!

On the bridge from light to dark

I've created this blog especially for events, happenings and special writings pertaining to my new sim, Enchanted. I've wanted my own region for quite a while and knew all along what I'd like to do with it. My vision was to create a beautiful, magical fantasy forest incorporating realism with a touch of whimsy. I think it turned out above and beyond what I envisioned and I'm very happy with it. Andrek Lowell (creator of Chakryn Forest and Bentham Forest), environmental designer extraordinaire, is who I entrusted in creating the sim. I believe with both our ideas, creativity and his designer know-how, together we've created a lush, dreamy fantasy land for the delight of all elves, fairies, pixies, nymphs, fauns, drows, wizards and yes, humans of Second Life. If I left anyone out, you are welcome too!

This amazing sim has a variety of "areas" to visit, along with hidden caves and places all over to discover. Alot of thought was put into placement and flow of each area. If I tell you every single must-see, it will ruin the surprises for you. A few of the areas are the mushroom forest, unicorn pasture, flower field, fae gathering spot, mermaid inlet, candy cove, and the dark forest.

The premise of the sim is to serve as a refuge or sanctuary for the rare unicorn, dragon, and all other woodland animals. You will see many animals of all kinds scattered throughout the land. Also, a percentage of any donations given to Enchanted will be in turn given to the national animal rights advocacy group, Friends of Animals. There is a group you can join, plus we will have a Flickr group page to submit pictures taken at Enchanted and, of course, this blog site. There are also two quests that can be completed on the sim. Enchanted is definitely worth a visit and once you do, I think you'll want to return many times again!
