Enchanted Photo and Poetry Contest Winners!

I'd like to announce the winners of the Photo and Poetry Contests we had at Enchanted. Thank you to everyone who submitted entries, all were wonderful! All winners will be displayed in the cottage at Enchanted along with here in the blog.

On an Enchanted day in autumn
Fiery Summers eyes beheld
what was never seen before.
Icy Winter, new and fresh
covering the land with her frosty beauty.
So strange she was, so fair and tender
his heart went soaring high, and upon
wings of summers ray,
He went down to lay eyes upon the icy maiden,
turning fresly laid snow to water again, accidentally.

Her frozen eyes saw the fire fall and
watched Fiery Summer regard her
works, and melted them, and so she was angry.
Cold and loud like Winterstorm her voice was,
scolding him:
"What dares you burn my work, my snow, undo
my craft, delay my winters reign?"

Fiery Summer only smiled, for he has heard
what never he had heard before, her voice.
And love took his heart forevermore.
He knelt down and took her icy hand in his.
"Fair winter maiden, i am just the humble
summer, but my heart burns true...
Fair maiden, i need and... love you!"
Icy Winter regarded her suitor with wonder,
for only coldness ruled her heart
Long she stood there,
looking into Summers eyes,
estwhile her cold heart melted, and she
saw the fiery prince`s love,
strange and wonderful to her

Summer and Winter
Fire & Ice
Married in love, and they say,
since that moment,
Summer and winter changed in Enchanted.
The winters mild and friendly
The summers breezy and airy.
as one completed the other.

Label your entries "Contest Entry" where the picture title usually goes, so we know you are submitting it. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes given! You may submit until December 5 and we will announce the winners on December 7.

POETRY CONTEST:

Show your creativity and imagination and submit a fantasy-themed poem inspired by Enchanted! You may submit a notecard in SL to Natalie Montagne OR to my email at, nataliemontagne@yahoo.com. Please don't forget to put your SL avie's name on the notecard/email! 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be given! You may submit until December 5 and we will announce the winners on December 7.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's beautiful artistry and imagination in pictures and on "paper"! Have fun!

An Enchanted GRAND OPENING Saturday, November 20!

I know I've rather neglected this blog since Enchanted opened! I've been busy working on other things, plus have been out of town off and on quite a bit. I have something very special I need to tell you about. Yes, we opened Enchanted a while back, but never had an "official" Grand Opening, so we plan to do that next Saturday the 20th of November. I hope everyone can come :) Our major event is the launching of one of my favorite creator's (Faery Sola of Studio Sidhe) latest and most magical creations yet! We will also have a photo and poetry contest you can enter at the event. There will be first, second and third prizes for each contest given away. All photos need to be taken in Enchanted of Elven Realm, plus poems written should be original, fantasy themed, and use Enchanted as inspiration :) I can't wait to see all that creativity out there! You may submit pictures to the Enchanted group site on Flickr. Please just type "contest entry" as the caption and upload the picture. You will have to join the group first, it is open enrollment. As far as the poetry contest, please submit your poems on a notecard in Second Life to my avie, Natalie Montagne. You may also submit to my email at nataliemontagne@yahoo.com. Be sure to put your name on them! Both contests earliest entry must be on the day of the event or after. We will accept entries up until December 5, and the winners will be announced on December 7.

We are planning to have a DJ off and on the day of the event and possibly some other things in store. A percentage of all proceeds from the event will benefit the Friends of Animals fund. Hope to see you there!
